I am my cousin’s baby’s godmother, and I have a brother who is much younger than I am. When I was a teenager and young adult, I spent a lot of time taking care of both babies when they were really young and as they grew older. Even before I had kids, I was taking care of kids, and that was great because I love being around them. I find so many things that kids do to be funny and joyful. I have always wanted a career that would allow me to teach and care for kids, and now I know that leading my own daycare program is how I will accomplish that dream.
Our day at Little Happy Beginners will include circle time, story time, arts and crafts, quiet time, and lots of indoor and outdoor play. I also love to include music and will guide kids through lots of sing-a-longs. In fact, I wrote a special theme song for our program that we can all sing together: "We are, we are, we are, little happy beginners And we are gonna stay happy all the time, all the time..."
My program takes place in the living room and dining room of my Woburn home. I want the children to feel at home here, so the space is child-friendly and colorful, with designated areas for circle time, music and movement, outdoor play, arts and crafts, and reading. We also go on neighborhood walks and on trips to the local playground.

~ Maya AngelouHere’s the inside scoop from other parents that have worked with Ms. Mamyrah.
My toddler has been attending Ms. Mamyrah's daycare for almost 6 months full time (M-F). He started when he was almost 18 months old. I was very hesitant to start during the COVID pandemic and chose a home day care to minimize risk for my son. Ms. Mamyrah and her assistant always wear a mask and take all COVID precautions. Our experience has, overall, been wonderful. My son is usually thrilled to see Ms. Mamyrah at drop off and is eager to play. He also has a consistent schedule throughout the day. She has provided many opportunities for learning and catered to his age. He has picked up life skills such as manners, clean up, caring for others. She has a structured schedule for educational activities and has also taught him alphabets, numbers, animals, shapes, vegetables, fruits, and colors. His speech and communication has improved as he has picked up several words.
Mamyrah cared for my two boys when they were young, and we’ve been close friends ever since. She’s such a hard worker and my kids just love being around her to this day! I run my own home daycare, and it’s easy to tell when children are in a nurturing environment. Their faces and body language will tell you everything! Mamyrah was so great with my own children, that I suggested she open her own daycare and I’m so happy to see she’s opening soon!
We couldn’t be happier with the decision to have Mamyrah as our daughter’s daycare provider! It absolutely warms my heart to see the smile on my daughters face each morning when I say “we’re going to Ms. Mamyrah’s!” It sure makes a long day at work much more manageable knowing she is loved and truly cared for. Thank you so much Mamyrah for taking care of our little bundle of joy <3
My child has been attending Ms Mamyrah’s daycare for a month now and my husband and I are so pleased with how happy he is and how greatly he has grown there already. It is clear that he loves Ms Mamyrah and friends there and that he has been given a lot of care and love. I’m excited to see how he will be doing in another couple of months…
I absolutely love Ms.Mamyrah' place!she has been providing excellent care to my beautiful daughter, and she'll show her love for for child as i do.I would highly recommend. Ms. Mamyrah daycare to anyone who is looking for a good care for their little one. Love mamyrah daycare ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️.
I have known Ms. Mamyrah for about 2 years now, I would recommend Ms Mamyrah to anyone, every child she works with absolutely loves her. She treats our son just like her own child and I was so happy to have someone like her.
Daycare rates depend on how old your child will be and what your schedule looks like. 5 days / week might get a slight discount, and infant rates are usually more than toddlers’. Finding a spot also depends on age and schedule because each daycare has a limited number of openings for each age range.

Your family is unique to you, but some of your questions might not be. 😉 Here’s what most parents want to know when starting out.
Most first-time parents don’t know exactly what they’re looking for, so we created a simple survey that will ask you questions about your lifestyle, your daily routines, and your preferences for child care. We’ll then share 3 personalized recommendations that we think might be a good fit. We’ll also give you a timeline that maps out when we would suggest you start touring programs, choose a daycare, and pay a deposit to secure a spot. Your timeline is based on when you want to start care - so you set the pace, and you decide when you’ve found the right match.
Nope. Our daycare recommendation service is free for parents. The other half of our business is helping these small-scale daycares with software and services that handle all their administrative tasks, like online contracting, payment processing, and licensing requirements. Before NeighborSchools, services like these were only designed for large corporate child care centers, and part of our mission is to level the playing field for small, independent child care programs. That’s why we picked the name NeighborSchools - we’re all about making child care more personal, more human, and more equitable for the incredible individuals who do this work and care for our children.
Generally, if you’re here, you’re ready. The survey lets us give you 3 recommendations to consider, but it’ll also help you better understand what factors to consider, and what questions to be asking right now. It’s simple things like where you live, your child’s date of birth, when you want to start care, and if you have any preferences around program philosophy or language of instruction. If you’re planning 6+ months ahead, it’s a great way to get started, and if you’re hoping to start daycare in the next 2-4 months, it’s definitely time to get started. Click here to start the survey.
Each program has a limited number of spots for each age range, so we need to know your schedule and child’s age before we can share availability. The survey covers these basics, as well as factors like drop-off and pick-up times to make sure that recommended programs fit your daily routine. Once we know your child’s age and schedule we can share rates and costs as well.
We’re online Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm Eastern.
