I have 20 + years of experience taking care of young children. For me, one of the best parts of working with children is watching them explore and discover. I feel so fortunate to experience that every day and to share my skills and experience with families through my home-based child care program, where I focus on learning through play. I aim to create an environment that is nurturing and happy for the children I care about so much. So many parts of this job are fun, but I especially love to watch them express themselves. I can't imagine spending my days any other way. I’m also proud to do this important work. That’s especially true when I think about all the children I've taught and watched grow.
My favorite thing about caring for children is witnessing their curiosity and joy. That has been a highlight for me throughout my 20 years of experience. Working with children is my absolute passion! I raised all my siblings and three of my own children. Nothing brings me more joy than opening my home to the families in my community.mom in my home, and most recently I have been running my own program. People have said that I create an environment that is comfortable and friendly. I focus on academic and social readiness, and I especially love to watch them express themselves. I’m proud when I think about helping so many children work through their individual challenges and achieve personal gains. That's what makes this work so special.
I have 6 years of experience taking care of young children. For me, one of the best parts of working with children is watching them explore and discover. I feel so fortunate to experience that every day and to share my skills and experience with families through my home-based child care program, where I focus on exploration and imagination. I aim to create an environment that is encouraging and welcoming for the children I care about so much. So many parts of this job are fun, but I especially love to watch them express themselves. I can't imagine spending my days any other way. I’m also proud to do this important work. That’s especially true when I think about all the children I've helped grow and learn.
Children have so much love, and the bonds that they make at this age are so special. Once there was a little girl who was just 6 months old when she first came to my daycare. For years, it was an absolute joy to watch her grow, learn, and make new friends. (Although she would tell me that I was her favorite!) Now she’s in kindergarten and thriving! Even though I miss her, it’s so rewarding to know that at my program, she took a lot of important first steps that will get her where she needs to go. Watching the kids blossom is the best experience, and every single child that I’ve looked after holds a place in my heart.

A home program becomes like a little family – and my own kids are absolutely the inspiration behind mine. Working with them on their skills and helping them reach all those exciting milestones had a huge impact on me and made me realize how passionate I am about educating children. I give kids the space to grow and develop, and I bring lots of excitement to my program every day. That excitement is catchy – the kids really feel it, and it makes them want to spend time here and learn with me!
Children learn so much from being in a home daycare setting! They really absorb a lot just from being around other kids and being part of a group. Over the years I have noticed that when kids work together, the things they learn really stick, so I try to have children work with partners on activities and projects whenever I can. We are a little community, and learning to work together is so important! The thing I love most about what I do is that I’m helping people every day - guiding children's they learn and grow and making life easier for their families. The trust that forms between me and my daycare families is so meaningful.
Each daycare provider designs their program based on their unique background & child care experience.

Get your own recommendations based on your preferences, daily routine, and what matters most to you.
Your family is unique to you, but some of your questions might not be. 😉 Here’s what most parents want to know when starting out.
Most first-time parents don’t know exactly what they’re looking for, so we created a simple survey that will ask you questions about your lifestyle, your daily routines, and your preferences for child care. We’ll then share 3 personalized recommendations that we think might be a good fit. We’ll also give you a timeline that maps out when we would suggest you start touring programs, choose a daycare, and pay a deposit to secure a spot. Your timeline is based on when you want to start care - so you set the pace, and you decide when you’ve found the right match.
Nope. Our daycare recommendation service is free for parents. The other half of our business is helping these small-scale daycares with software and services that handle all their administrative tasks, like online contracting, payment processing, and licensing requirements. Before NeighborSchools, services like these were only designed for large corporate child care centers, and part of our mission is to level the playing field for small, independent child care programs. That’s why we picked the name NeighborSchools - we’re all about making child care more personal, more human, and more equitable for the incredible individuals who do this work and care for our children.
Generally, if you’re here, you’re ready. The survey lets us give you 3 recommendations to consider, but it’ll also help you better understand what factors to consider, and what questions to be asking right now. It’s simple things like where you live, your child’s date of birth, when you want to start care, and if you have any preferences around program philosophy or language of instruction. If you’re planning 6+ months ahead, it’s a great way to get started, and if you’re hoping to start daycare in the next 2-4 months, it’s definitely time to get started. Click here to start the survey.
Each program has a limited number of spots for each age range, so we need to know your schedule and child’s age before we can share availability. The survey covers these basics, as well as factors like drop-off and pick-up times to make sure that recommended programs fit your daily routine. Once we know your child’s age and schedule we can share rates and costs as well.
We’re online Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm Eastern.
Take the survey and get 3 daycare recommendations that fit your preferences. Takes 5 minutes and it’s 100% free for parents.
