Ms. Helen

Play-Based Learning

When I say I've been doing this for over 30 years, I mean that my own children grew up in my childcare and now I have my grand babies, too! I find so much joy in creating a safe and warm environment for little ones to grow and learn - it's my true passion! My favorite thing about caring for children is witnessing their curiosity and joy. That has been a highlight for me throughout my 35 years of experience. I have worked as a mom in my home, and most recently I have been running my own program. People have said that I create an environment that is welcoming and happy. I focus on allowing children to express themselves, and I especially love to watch them express themselves. I’m proud when I think about all the children I've helped grow and learn. That's what makes this work so special.

Ms. Karen

Play-Based Learning

I find so much happiness working with children. It's no surprise... I've been doing this for 36 years! Laughing with littles, encouraging their curiosity and creativity - I just can't get enough of them! Opening my own child care program in my home gave me the opportunity to create the nurturing, encouraging environment that I think is so important. I especially love to see them start to walk and talk, but the truth is that so many parts of the day and the week bring me a lot of joy. Through it all, I focus on exploration and imagination. One of the best parts of working with children is that they all need love and care. The work is incredibly rewarding, especially when I think about all the children I've helped grow and learn. It's such a gift to guide the children in my program as they grow.
