About Anderson

Anderson is a home daycare provider licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). His license allows him to care for up to 6 children in a warm home environment in Salem.

Anderson has been a provider since 2019. As a licensed provider, Anderson receives training in safe sleep, childhood nutrition, medication administration and childhood development. Every year he is required to renew his pediatric CPR certificate and attend at least 10 hours of professional development training.

Twice a year, a Licensor from the EEC’s regional office does an unannounced home-visit to assess program quality, health & safety practices, and make sure Anderson is meeting the EEC’s requirements, including regular progress reports, daily attendance tracking, monthly evacuation drills, etc...

The NeighborSchools Difference

Unlike Care.com, Yelp, or SitterCity, here at NeighborSchools we only partner with Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool Providers. These high-quality small-scale programs allow for better ratios, meaning more individualized attention for your little one. In Massachusetts, all Providers are licensed by the Dept. of Early Education & Care (EEC).

In order to receive and maintain a license from the EEC, Providers must:
  • Complete training in Safe Sleep, Childhood Nutrition, Medication Administration, and Transportation Safety
  • Undergo a rigorous home environment inspection & unannounced monitoring visits from EEC Licensors throughout the year
  • Maintain current Pediatric CPR & First Aid certificates
  • Complete a 3-part background record check, including fingerprints
  • Complete 10+ hours of professional development training annually

Many parents don‘t realize that Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool is regulated just like center-based child care. The biggest difference is that with Home Daycare your child is in the care of one experienced Provider who is wholly devoted to the children in their program. Children get the individualized attention and continuity of care they need to thrive; you get a more affordable child care option conveniently located right in your neighborhood.
