About Me

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, and that led me to obtain a degree in Education, with dual licensure in Elementary Education / Moderate Special Needs for grades PreK-8. I raised my own kids full-time for about 12 years, and during that time I enjoyed volunteering at their schools, coaching...

We were very lucky to have Ms. Sonia care for our son for 3 years in her home. She is loving, warm and an excellent educator. She was very interactive with our son during those early developmental years. He loved going there. To this day, our son still has a special bond with her.

We are so grateful for all the love and care Ms. Frates has provided to our children over the last couple of years. We are sad to leave her now, and we will try to forgive her for not providing child care until our children turn 18 years old! There are very good memories made including teddy bear...

NeighborSchools
The NeighborSchools Difference

Unlike Care.com, Yelp, or SitterCity, here at NeighborSchools we only partner with Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool Providers. These high-quality small-scale programs allow for better ratios, meaning more individualized attention for your little one. In Massachusetts, all Providers are licensed by the Dept. of Early Education & Care (EEC).

In order to receive and maintain a license from the EEC, Providers must:
  • Complete training in Safe Sleep, Childhood Nutrition, Medication Administration, and Transportation Safety
  • Undergo a rigorous home environment inspection & unannounced monitoring visits from EEC Licensors throughout the year
  • Maintain current Pediatric CPR & First Aid certificates
  • Complete a 3-part background record check, including fingerprints
  • Complete 10+ hours of professional development training annually

Many parents don‘t realize that Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool is regulated just like center-based child care. The biggest difference is that with Home Daycare your child is in the care of one experienced Provider who is wholly devoted to the children in their program. Children get the individualized attention and continuity of care they need to thrive; you get a more affordable child care option conveniently located right in your neighborhood.
