I offer a multicultural, fun and exciting environment, which stimulates each child’s need to learn and creates experiences that will enable his/her body to grow and develop. I feel so fortunate to have found Doris's program before my son was even born. From the time he was six weeks old, Doris showered Robert with love and was just as invested in his growth and development as I was. As a new mom, I was eager to hear her advice, and she fostered such a collaborative...

Tommy is my first child, and it was so hard to find a child care program that felt right...especially for an infant. The minute I met Doris, she took him into her arms, and it was clear from that instant that she would give him the love and care he needed. As he grew older, it became really...

Both of my kids (Josiah and Armani) went to Doris' program, and if I had another child, I wouldn't hesitate to send her/him there. Doris is awesome! She cares so much about children and is in tune with exactly what they need. One of my favorite things that she does is provide home cooked meals...

My 5 year old daughter Kennedy was in Teacher Doris care since she was 1 years old up until the time she started K1. The experience we’ve had with teacher Doris has been so awesome, she has contributed a great deal to my daughter's early learning. Teacher Doris makes the children lunch everyday,...

There's lots of room to play inside and outside. In addition to three rooms on the main floor, there is a large playroom on the ground level. Sometimes we will play in the yard, but we often walk around the neighborhood to check out nearby public parks and regularly visit the public library too....

The NeighborSchools Difference

Unlike, Yelp, or SitterCity, here at NeighborSchools we only partner with Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool Providers. These high-quality small-scale programs allow for better ratios, meaning more individualized attention for your little one. In Massachusetts, all Providers are licensed by the Dept. of Early Education & Care (EEC).

In order to receive and maintain a license from the EEC, Providers must:
  • Complete training in Safe Sleep, Childhood Nutrition, Medication Administration, and Transportation Safety
  • Undergo a rigorous home environment inspection & unannounced monitoring visits from EEC Licensors throughout the year
  • Maintain current Pediatric CPR & First Aid certificates
  • Complete a 3-part background record check, including fingerprints
  • Complete 10+ hours of professional development training annually

Many parents don‘t realize that Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool is regulated just like center-based child care. The biggest difference is that with Home Daycare your child is in the care of one experienced Provider who is wholly devoted to the children in their program. Children get the individualized attention and continuity of care they need to thrive; you get a more affordable child care option conveniently located right in your neighborhood.
