We have been providing a safe and nurturing environment for children since 2008. Parents’ minds are at ease when they go to work or school, knowing that their child is cared for in all aspects of their developmental needs. We are a curriculum-based program. Because of my background in public and...

Child Care During COVID-19

The health and safety of our children, families, and Providers is always our top priority. Throughout COVID-19 we have been in close communication with state officials at the child care licensing agencies, public health officials, pediatric epidemiologists, and our entire community...

Testimonials

We LOVE Ms. Cynthia! As a first time mom, and public school teacher I researched for months looking into different daycare options. I cannot recommend her daycare enough! Especially if you are a teacher! She runs off of a BPS school schedule and offers so many options. My son has been attending...

We have been with Cynthia’s program for almost 5 years now! Both daughters started at 12 weeks and we always felt they were well cared for at all times! Cynthia had both of my girls ready to move onto preschool at 3. They always came home with new songs and stories. Cynthia also does a great job...

I highly recommend Cynthia’s childcare! Cynthia and her staff are really dedicated and take great care of our son who started when he was 3M. I love the activities and arts & crafts that they do with the kids. I also love the staff:child ratio. My husband and I do not work teacher schedules but...

Environment

Of course, because we are a family child care program, we are snuggled in my home! I have a living room and dining room that I’ve turned into playrooms and little classrooms. The walls are colorful, but not too stimulating for the children. We have child-sized tables and chairs for various...

Note: We have a structured routine schedule that we follow. The children come in at different drop off times so they do free play until everyone is dropped off and settled in. Then we next all sit down for breakfast time. After breakfast is circle time, music, story time then the children do an activity for the day. After activity is recess either outdoors weather permitting. If not outdoors then the children have recess indoors to exercise their gross motors. After recess is lunch, nap, snack then another free play along with story time until everyone is picked up and dismissed for the day.

The NeighborSchools Difference

Unlike Care.com, Yelp, or SitterCity, here at NeighborSchools we only partner with Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool Providers. These high-quality small-scale programs allow for better ratios, meaning more individualized attention for your little one. In Massachusetts, all Providers are licensed by the Dept. of Early Education & Care (EEC).

In order to receive and maintain a license from the EEC, Providers must:
  • Complete training in Safe Sleep, Childhood Nutrition, Medication Administration, and Transportation Safety
  • Undergo a rigorous home environment inspection & unannounced monitoring visits from EEC Licensors throughout the year
  • Maintain current Pediatric CPR & First Aid certificates
  • Complete a 3-part background record check, including fingerprints
  • Complete 10+ hours of professional development training annually

Many parents don‘t realize that Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool is regulated just like center-based child care. The biggest difference is that with Home Daycare your child is in the care of one experienced Provider who is wholly devoted to the children in their program. Children get the individualized attention and continuity of care they need to thrive; you get a more affordable child care option conveniently located right in your neighborhood.
