Testimonials

I've known Steph for 5 years. We worked together as co-teachers at The Learning Experience, where she was my son's teacher. He can be, let's say, "off the wall" and Steph was the only teacher, including myself, who could reliably engage and bring him back down. She just had that ability to connect...

I am a veteran educator and have worked with Steph for 9 years. She’s the one I turn to for help planning creative and engaging activities, and she is one of the only educators I know who is excellent at both planning activities and then leading those activities with the kids. As a professional, I...

NeighborSchools
The NeighborSchools Difference

Unlike Care.com, Yelp, or SitterCity, here at NeighborSchools we only partner with Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool Providers. These high-quality small-scale programs allow for better ratios, meaning more individualized attention for your little one. In Massachusetts, all Providers are licensed by the Dept. of Early Education & Care (EEC).

In order to receive and maintain a license from the EEC, Providers must:
  • Complete training in Safe Sleep, Childhood Nutrition, Medication Administration, and Transportation Safety
  • Undergo a rigorous home environment inspection & unannounced monitoring visits from EEC Licensors throughout the year
  • Maintain current Pediatric CPR & First Aid certificates
  • Complete a 3-part background record check, including fingerprints
  • Complete 10+ hours of professional development training annually

Many parents don‘t realize that Licensed Home Daycare & Preschool is regulated just like center-based child care. The biggest difference is that with Home Daycare your child is in the care of one experienced Provider who is wholly devoted to the children in their program. Children get the individualized attention and continuity of care they need to thrive; you get a more affordable child care option conveniently located right in your neighborhood.
