When smaller is better, home daycare is the best. Find great options for infants & toddlers near you.
Caring for each child is a new adventure. Itās such a privilege to get to know every kid on an individual basis. Even at a very young age, they have such strong personalities! After having three kids of my own and babysitting for local families, Iāve seen that no one child-raising method or teaching style works for everyone. Every kid reaches their milestones at a different pace, and thatās okay! At this program, the children will be met where they areādevelopmentally, socially, and educationally. A huge part of what makes this possible is taking the time to get to know and understand each individual child, so we can give them the best possible care.
My daycare program came about because of my childcare needs and the needs of my community! Working full time outside the home, I wasnāt getting much time with my children. At the same time, I had met so many parents who needed a provider they could trust. Iām a mother and have taken care of children in my family for years - so opening a daycare made so much sense on so many levels! I love being around kids, and so does my young son. Helping them all grow is the most rewarding job there is, and I love being there for my community and my children at the same time.
Children and parents love Ms. Jodeneās daycare for its small-scale, personal feel. Fully licensed by the state, her program focuses on infants and toddlers, and the mixed-age range helps children learn to socialize in a small group setting. Parents often prefer home daycare when looking for options that are closer to home, where they can develop a long-term relationship with the provider. Many come to see the provider as an extension of the family, leaning on them for advice on all sorts of parenting questions. Check out Ms. Jodeneās full profile and take the survey to see if she is a good match for your family.
Children learn and grow so much in these early years, and seeing it happen every day is amazing. I have two kids of my own and a background in hospitality ā so taking care of people is something Iāve been doing for years - itās my passion! I opened my daycare because I love working with kids and wanted to spend more time with my own while helping other families manage their own work/childcare juggle! Iām studying early childhood education so I can keep building up my knowledge about how to encourage kids, help them grow, and make my program the best it can be.

Your family is unique to you, but some of your questions might not be. š Hereās what most parents want to know when starting out.
Most first-time parents donāt know exactly what theyāre looking for, so we created a simple survey that will ask you questions about your lifestyle, your daily routines, and your preferences for child care. Weāll then share 3 personalized recommendations that we think might be a good fit. Weāll also give you a timeline that maps out when we would suggest you start touring programs, choose a daycare, and pay a deposit to secure a spot. Your timeline is based on when you want to start care - so you set the pace, and you decide when youāve found the right match.
Nope. Our daycare recommendation service is free for parents. The other half of our business is helping these small-scale daycares with software and services that handle all their administrative tasks, like online contracting, payment processing, and licensing requirements. Before NeighborSchools, services like these were only designed for large corporate child care centers, and part of our mission is to level the playing field for small, independent child care programs. Thatās why we picked the name NeighborSchools - weāre all about making child care more personal, more human, and more equitable for the incredible individuals who do this work and care for our children.
Generally, if youāre here, youāre ready. The survey lets us give you 3 recommendations to consider, but itāll also help you better understand what factors to consider, and what questions to be asking right now. Itās simple things like where you live, your childās date of birth, when you want to start care, and if you have any preferences around program philosophy or language of instruction. If youāre planning 6+ months ahead, itās a great way to get started, and if youāre hoping to start daycare in the next 2-4 months, itās definitely time to get started. Click here to start the survey.
Each program has a limited number of spots for each age range, so we need to know your schedule and childās age before we can share availability. The survey covers these basics, as well as factors like drop-off and pick-up times to make sure that recommended programs fit your daily routine. Once we know your childās age and schedule we can share rates and costs as well.
Weāre online Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm Eastern.
Take the survey and get 3 daycare recommendations that fit your preferences. Takes 5 minutes and itās 100% free for parents.
