Ms. Cathy

Play-Based Learning

I have 20 years of experience taking care of young children. For me, one of the best parts of working with children is that they start to show you their little personalities. I feel so fortunate to experience that every day and to share my skills and experience with families through my home-based child care program, where I focus on learning through play. I aim to create an environment that is nurturing and warm for the children I care about so much. So many parts of this job are fun, but I especially love to take children outside to explore and play. I can't imagine spending my days any other way. I’m also proud to do this important work. That’s especially true when I think about all the children and families I've impacted over the years. I love children so much that I just can't imagine waking up each morning without having fun activities to plan and little munchkins to play with! The sounds coming from my home are joyful and giggly and even after the decades I've spent caring for littles, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Ms. Joann

Play-Based Learning

I absolutely love caring for children and have had my licensed home daycare almost a decade! The families I care for have become nothing short of my own extended family. Opening my own child care program in my home gave me the opportunity to create the welcoming, nurturing environment that I think is so important. I especially love to see them start to walk and talk, but the truth is that so many parts of the day and the week bring me a lot of joy. Through it all, I focus on exploration and imagination. One of the best parts of working with children is that they start to show you their little personalities. The work is incredibly rewarding, especially when I think about all the children I've watched grow and learn.
